France: The UAE secured its fourth consecutive victory in the FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders and Juniors on September 2, 2023.
The UAE team showcased their dominant position in the world of endurance racing by winning the championship in Castelsagrat, France. This marked their fourth consecutive victory, following their earlier wins in 2017, 2019, and 2021.
The victory was sealed in the final meters of the last stage after fierce competition. The race comprised four stages, with the first one spanning 28.6 km, the second 29.2 km, the third 33.8 km, and the final stage covering 28.6 km.
Major General Dr. Mohammed Essa Aladhab, the Administrative Manager of the UAE Team, and representatives from the French and international equestrian federations attended the race.
Seventy riders from 25 countries, both male and female, competed in the event under the supervision of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports. The champions will be officially crowned on September 3, 2023, in Castelsagrat, located in the southwest of France.
The FEI championships are among the most prestigious in the world. The championship challenges the riders’ skills and their horses’ fitness through a series of precise tests in loops, pushing their abilities to the limit. The goal is for the rider and horse to synchronize their hearts, working as one cohesive unit.
Since the inaugural event in 1953, this FEI World Championship series began with the first FEI Jumping World Championship (FRA) in Paris.
