Abu Dhabi: The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met with Ms. Belinda Balluku, Albania’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
In Abu Dhabi, during their meeting, both parties discussed their friendly relations and opportunities for collaboration in different areas, such as the economy, trade, development, and knowledge sharing between governments.
They also went over the results of Sheikh Abdullah’s working visit to the Republic of Albania in April of last year and how it contributed to enhancing cooperation between the two nations in various sectors.

Sheikh Abdullah and Ms. Belinda Balluku also talked about collaboration between the two nations in the energy and climate sector, with a particular focus on the UAE’s upcoming hosting of COP28 in Expo City Dubai from November 30 to December 12, 2023.
The UAE looks forward to welcoming the world to COP28 as well as to working together with all stakeholders in pursuit of balanced, ambitious, and inclusive outcomes as a hopeful legacy for future generations, as per the statement.

Sheikh Abdullah warmly welcomed Ms. Belinda Balluku’s visit and emphasized the significance of UAE-Albanian relations. He also expressed the UAE’s eagerness to enhance and expand these relations on multiple fronts.
Ms. Belinda Balluku, in turn, conveyed her country’s desire to bolster friendly relations and collaborative efforts with the UAE.
The meeting also included the presence of Ms. Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Mr. Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment.
