Morocco: The Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Forum for Peace, Shaikh Al Mahfoudh bin Bayyah, and Ghita Mezzour, the Moroccan Delegate-Minister to the Head of Government responsible for Digital Transition and Administration Reform, have talked about methods to collaborate on advancing AI ethics concepts.
Considering the Forum’s involvement in founding the first AI and civil society committee, the Rabat gathering emphasized the need to create bridges to further study on the real and anticipated consequences of AI on human societies.
The discussion also made clear how important it is to take inspiration from human and universal values to make sure that advancements in science in this area catalyze values such as human dignity, peace, and what it means to live a decent life.
In the framework of a wise investment in contemporary technology, the conversation also included strategies for resolving any ethical and legal issues that may arise as a result of the world’s rapid technological advancement.
The Rome Call for AI Ethics was signed in Rome in January 2023, and the Forum is the first Islamic organization to sign on.
The Abrahamic Religions (Shaikh Al Mahfoudh Bin Bayyah, Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, and Chief Rabbi Eliezer Simha Weisz) together signed the Rome Call for AI Ethics in January 2023, signifying the shared duty among the world’s religious communities.
