Abu Dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has unveiled its latest initiative, the ‘Abu Dhabi Experts’ eLearning platform, at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM 2024). This new platform is specifically designed to educate B2B partners, transforming them into certified ‘Experience Abu Dhabi Experts’.
The platform provides specialized training through nine detailed modules that cover various aspects of Abu Dhabi’s tourism offerings. These include the emirate’s rich culture and heritage, major landmarks and attractions, and accommodation options. Each module is crafted to equip partners with essential knowledge to help them design tailored travel itineraries for tourists.

Upon successful completion of the training, participants are awarded a certificate, officially acknowledging them as “Experience Abu Dhabi Experts”. This certification not only enhances their credibility in the industry but also arms them with valuable insights into Abu Dhabi’s tourism landscape.
Currently, the platform offers modules in English, with plans to expand the training to include a total of 13 languages, ensuring it reaches a global audience.
The launch of this eLearning platform coincides with several other new developments announced at ATM 2024, including partnerships with key global travel and tourism organizations.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy, the updated Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to increase annual visitor numbers from nearly 24 million in 2023 to 39.3 million by 2030. This strategy also aims to boost the economic impact of the tourism sector on the UAE’s GDP from AED49 billion in 2023 to AED90 billion annually by 2030, reflecting a significant growth trajectory for the sector.
