Dubai: Dubai Municipality has launched its Health and Safety Week event, coinciding with World Workplace Health and Safety Day celebrated on April 28 annually. Government and private entities are joining hands to promote best practices, share experiences, and enhance safety measures to create a secure work environment for everyone.
To provide creative solutions, guarantee adherence to international health and safety regulations, and meet the particular needs of this area, Dubai Municipality regularly evaluates its occupational health and safety programs.
The Municipality is unwavering in its dedication to upholding the highest operational standards and actively safeguarding public health, all the while advancing the more general objectives of establishing institutional flexibility, resilience, and environmental preservation.
In the Emirate of Dubai, the Municipality is currently leading the way in public safety with programs like the Environmental Health Control Program and the Occupational Health and Safety Control Program.
Along with an integrated program for health and safety awareness that includes action plans and field campaigns that make use of multilingual social media presence, it also includes a specialized division for Health and Safety Management in Labor Buildings, which aims to minimize the negative impact of climate change.
The week-long event, according to Dr. Naseem Rafie, Acting CEO of the Health and Safety Department at Dubai Municipality, will serve as a platform to highlight ongoing efforts to create an integrated preventive system that includes occupational health and safety frameworks to guarantee compliance for all workers.
