Abu Dhabi: Social care professionals in Abu Dhabi will soon be able to obtain licenses to practice in private educational institutions, following a new partnership between the Department of Community Development (DCD) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).
The collaboration focuses on enhancing the integration of social and educational sectors and includes the formation of a joint high-level committee to oversee the implementation of the agreement. This committee will also set priorities, monitor performance, and ensure effective cooperation.
According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, this initiative will initially enable 80 social care professionals employed by ADEK to be licensed, with plans to expand licensing to additional professionals in the future. This move is expected to enhance the quality of services provided to students by ensuring that professionals are highly competent and qualified.
Mubarak Hamad Al Muhairi, Undersecretary at ADEK, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, noting that it aims to place skilled professionals in private schools to support student well-being and academic success. Approximately 410 social care professionals are anticipated to benefit from this initiative, which will create supportive environments at home and in schools.
