Dubai: The UAE passport has been recognized as the most powerful in the world. Holders of the UAE passport can enter 182 countries without a pre-arranged visa. This includes visa-free access to 124 countries, on-arrival visas for 37 countries, and e-visas for 21 countries. Only 16 countries require a pre-arranged visa for UAE passport holders.
This finding comes from the latest study by the Latitude Group, which provides global residency and immigration services. Denmark, Sweden, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain hold the second position, allowing their passport holders visa-free access to 180 countries.
Passport holders from Austria, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, and Portugal can enter 179 countries without a visa. Passports from Australia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, and Slovakia rank fourth, offering visa-free access to 178 countries. Meanwhile, passport holders from Croatia, Malaysia, and the UK can travel to 177 countries without a visa.
According to the passport index published by Arton Capital, the UAE passport had also been selected as the most powerful passport in the world in 2022 as well.
Most Expensive and The Cheapest
Mexico’s passport is the most expensive in the world, costing $231.05 for ten years, followed by Australia, where the passport costs $225.78, according to a recent study. Despite common misconceptions, the United States does not have the most expensive passport.
On the more economical side, India boasts the cheapest passport in terms of annual cost, with an expenditure of just $1.81 per year. South Africa and Kenya are also among the least expensive, with yearly passport costs of $3.05 and $3.09, respectively.
