Fujairah: The Fujairah Martial Arts Club (FMAC) has been honored as the Best Arab Club by the ‘The Best’ awards, presented by Tatweeg News in Egypt for two consecutive years.
In the category of “Most Globally, Regionally, and Locally Influential Achievements for 2023,” the “Club” was named the winner.
The Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, was present at an official ceremony in Cairo, Egypt, to reveal the winners of the awards in all categories.
The noteworthy new accomplishment carries out the vision of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah and President of the Al Fujairah Martial Arts Club. He has consistently supported the growth of the sports industry in the emirate and has pledged to provide whatever resources are required to make it successful.
The Fujairah Martial Arts Club’s outstanding efforts and worthwhile initiatives are also evident in the victory. In the last few years, the club has arranged several elite competitions in different sports, such as the Fujairah Open International Taekwondo Championship, which has been held for ten years running and has garnered recognition and admiration from the International Taekwondo Federation.
The Fujairah Martial Arts Club’s director, Nader Abu Shawish, dedicated the honor to Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Fujairah ruler and a member of the Supreme Council, as well as to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Fujairah crown prince and the club’s president.
The fourth edition of “The Best” awards seeks to recognize Egyptian athletes who have excelled individually as well as a few nominees from other Arab nations.
