Abu Dhabi: According to the latest forecasts from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), significant weather changes are expected in the United Arab Emirates starting next Wednesday. These changes are due to an extension of surface low pressure from the Red Sea, accompanied by humid southeasterly winds.
Weather Pattern
The UAE will initially see local convective rainy clouds that could lead to rainfall and possibly hail, particularly over the eastern regions. These conditions are expected to spread to some inland and western areas as well.
Intensified Conditions
By Wednesday evening, the weather is forecasted to intensify as the low pressure from the Red Sea extends further, coupled with an inflow from the northwest at upper air levels. This combination will bring diverse cloud types, including convective clouds, which are associated with moderate to heavy rainfall. The rainfall will be scattered across various parts of the country, accompanied by occasional lightning, thunder, and potential hail, especially starting from the western regions on Wednesday night and spreading across most areas by Thursday.
Friday and Saturday
As the weekend approaches, cloud coverage is expected to decrease gradually, yet there will still be a chance of light to moderate rainfall, which may turn heavy over some southern and eastern areas.
Winds and Marine Conditions
The UAE will also experience moderate to fresh winds, shifting from southeasterly to northeasterly directions. These winds may become strong at times, particularly in the presence of convective clouds, leading to blowing dust and sand which could reduce visibility. Marine conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are expected to be moderate to rough, especially during cloudy weather.
Residents and visitors are advised to stay updated with the latest weather reports and take necessary precautions during this period of fluctuating weather conditions.
