Sharjah: The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has convened a meeting at the Sharjah Ruler’s office, chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of SEC.
The Council approved the operation of a transport service between Sharjah and Muscat, Oman. The Sharjah Road and Transport Authority (SRTA) will agree with Oman National Transport Company- Mwasalat to commence the operations. As per the agreement, the services will operate daily from Al Jubail Station in Sharjah to Al Azaiba Bus Station in Muscat and vice versa.
The Model Farmer’s Guide also got the approval from SAC. It aims to enhance Sharjah’s vision of achieving healthy food security free of harmful substances. The guide will also encourage community members to start sustainable agricultural projects and establish entrepreneurs in the productive agriculture field.
The Guide works to lift the burden on farmers. It will be a reference for emerging entrepreneurs and people interested in agricultural production. It will also raise awareness and education about the importance of agriculture and the sustainability of the agriculture production journey.
The Council approved exemption for 102 projects, including the pioneer projects funded by Sharjah SME (RUWAD), by 50 percent from government agency fees for two years, with a total value of AED1.086 million, from various types of economic activities across all cities and regions of the emirate.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and SEC Vice Chairman, was also present at the meeting, as per the statement.
