Abu Dhabi: The Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, has emphasized the significance of the systematic and sustainable development of young national competencies as the primary national resource that the UAE’s leadership has prioritized and as the essential cornerstone of the country’s comprehensive development journey.
The Minister made this statement while touring the 15th edition of the EmiratesSkills National Competition, held under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (the Mother of the Nation), Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).
At the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) is in charge of organizing the event.
Sheikh Nahyan visited the event and examined a number of the platforms. It was there that he discovered the experiences of young Emiratis in the fields of computer-aided sculpture, mobile robotics, healthcare and social care, and automobile maintenance.
“Our leadership is keen to invest in national competencies as the foundation for continuing the journey of success and excellence and preserving major achievements. Today, we take pride in the presence of a new generation equipped with the necessary skills and capable of confidently and energetically writing a new chapter of the UAE’s success story,” Sheikh Nahyan stated.
The EmiratesSkills National Competition, according to Director-General of ACTVET Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, has gotten stronger every year, strengthening its position as a venue for refining and developing national competencies and giving participants the chance to actively participate in the nation’s all-encompassing economic development.
The competition is to prepare a national workforce to support the UAE’s economic and technological progress by raising awareness among Emirati youth about vocations based on technical and vocational education. Talented Emiratis in technical and vocational domains are drawn to participate in competitions held to international standards, where they can then represent the UAE in international skills competitions.
