Hungary: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, has met with Péter Szijjártó, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary during his working visit to Budapest.
Minister Péter Szijjártó welcomed the visit of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, and discussed with him aspects of cooperation between the UAE and Hungary and opportunities to develop them across all fields in a way that benefits the two countries and their peoples.
Along with reviewing matters of shared interest, they also spoke about ways to further chances for collaboration in a range of areas, including economics, commerce, investment, tourism, and logistics, among other areas that aid in the development goals of the two nations.
The two high-ranking diplomats discussed the March agreement on economic cooperation and the need to build on it to promote trade and economic cooperation as well as fortify ties between the two nations’ private sectors.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the deep UAE-Hungary ties, highlighting their mutual keenness to consolidate a module of sustainable cooperation that supports their goals to achieve comprehensive development for their peoples.
In their discussion of current events in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, Sheikh Abdullah, and Minister Péter Szijjártó emphasized the significance of uniting all regional and international efforts to achieve a durable ceasefire, which helps to safeguard the security and safety of all civilians.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the need to strengthen humanitarian support for the Palestinian people while also stepping up efforts to provide relief in a way that is safe, intense, sustainable, and uninhibited.
A feast for Iftar was hosted by Minister Péter Szijjártó in honor of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and his team.
The UAE Ambassador to Hungary, Saud Hamad Al Shamsi, and Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, were present during the meeting.
