Dubai: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has approved the launch of the Government of Dubai’s new logo. The Crown Prince chaired the first meeting of the Executive Council of Dubai following its recent reconstitution, as directed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
The Executive Council of Dubai presided over the organization’s inaugural meeting after it was recently reorganized.
Sheikh Hamdan also approved the AED 40 billion ($10.9 billion) allotment for the “Dubai Portfolio for Public-Private Partnership” for the years 2024–2026. Additionally, The Crown Prince authorized the “Dubai Sandbox” initiative, which in its first phase will assist 100 digital businesses, as well as Dubai’s “Affordable Housing Policy.”
The Crown Prince welcomed the new members with open arms and commended the work done by the outgoing Council members to strengthen Dubai’s standing internationally. Sheikh Hamdan said that a new strategic phase to strengthen the government’s operational structure and solidify Dubai’s standing has begun with the reconstitution of the Executive Council of Dubai.
“The newly formed Executive Council of Dubai will act as the driving force and catalyst for constructive change for Dubai. It will play a pivotal role in ensuring sustainable development, enhancing people’s well-being, and strengthening Dubai’s global standing,” Sheikh Hamdan said.
The Council has revitalized Dubai’s iconic old emblem and adopted it as the new logo for the Government of Dubai. According to the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai, there will be a six-month transition time for government institutions to adopt the new emblem.
During the meeting, The Executive Council of Dubai approved AED40 billion ($10.9 billion) for the ‘Dubai Portfolio for Public-Private Partnership.’ The ‘Affordable Housing Policy’ is aligned with the goals of Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan, which aims to foster vibrant and healthy communities by providing diverse job opportunities and addressing housing needs.
The ‘Dubai Sandbox’ project has been approved to support the testing and regulation of cutting-edge technologies in Dubai.
