Sharjah: The Sharjah Petroleum Council (SPC), a government entity of Sharjah, has announced the discovery of new gas reserves at the Al Hadiba field. Located north of the Al Sajaa Industrial Area in Sharjah, this field promises to contain economically significant quantities of gas.
The discovery was made by the Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) after drilling a well in recent months. Further testing of the well is planned in the coming days to assess the volume and viability of the gas reserves for potential development.
It is also noteworthy that Al Hadiba is the fifth onshore field in Sharjah, joining other fields such as Al-Saja’a, Kahif, Mahani, and Muayed, the latter of which has been repurposed as a gas storage facility.
