Jordan: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) team has organized an Eid Al Fitr celebration for the Syrian refugees living in the Emirati-Jordanian camp in Mrajeeb Al Fhood.
Yousof Al Harmoudi, the deputy director of the relief team, emphasized the ERC’s constant commitment to child welfare and their objective to provide camp residents, especially children, a comprehensive well-being experience that is comparable to that of those living outside the camps.
“The ERC team at Mrajeeb Al Fhood is dedicated to fulfilling all essential needs of the refugees,” said Al Harmoudi.
“This encompasses providing food, clothing, medical supplies, shelter, and additional crucial support. Recognizing the significance of entertainment in fostering child development, we prioritize addressing the emotional well-being of all refugees, especially the younger population,” Al Harmoudi added.
Al Harmoudi went on to describe the team’s involvement in the Eid Al Fitr prayers with the refugees, which were followed by traditional festive greetings and the giving out of gifts intended especially for kids and orphans.
To enhance the celebratory ambiance, the camp management collaborated with a nearby enterprise to plan an array of captivating activities. Popular cartoon characters made appearances at these events, along with face painting, henna artistry, and creative performances highlighting the rich tapestry of Emirati, Jordanian, and Syrian heritage.
The Eid celebrations, which took place in several parts of the camp, had a high attendance from the occupants, which promoted a sense of harmony and joy.
Remarkably, the ERC continues to be a vital source of assistance, guaranteeing the general welfare of more than 6,000 Syrian refugees living in the camp.
