Abu Dhabi: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) is continuing to provide humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip as part of the “Galant Knight 3” humanitarian operation, which the UAE launched to support the Palestinian people.
The program has provided essential supplies like food parcels, relief kits with necessary hygiene items, and tents to over 311,730 individuals.
In order to provide food to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Yunis, and the Central Governorate, the ERC also ran eleven charity kitchens.
Following the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s orders, the United Arab Emirates promptly dispatched relief aid when the events in the Gaza Strip occurred. The UAE President directed the immediate provision of $20 million in urgent help to support the Palestinian brothers through the UNRWA.
Furthermore, the UAE provided medical care in its hospitals to one thousand Gaza-based Palestinians afflicted with cancer. Additionally, it provided state hospitals with lodging for a thousand Palestinian children and their families while they recovered.
The nation started the “Tarahum – for Gaza” campaign to provide aid to the war-affected Palestinians. In November, it also started the humanitarian effort known as “Galant Knight 3” and sent emergency medical and relief supplies. With the establishment of a comprehensive field hospital in Gaza and the construction of six water desalination plants that provide clean water to over 600,000 residents, the operation strengthened this commitment.
As part of its annual winter campaign, “Be Their Warmth,” the ERC launched a humanitarian aid convoy for the people of the Gaza Strip, delivering an astounding 165 million winter clothing items and blankets to residents across Gaza.
