Abu Dhabi: Emirates Post Group Company (EPG), in association with the UAE Ministry of Culture and Youth, announced the dates for their upcoming workshops connected to their stamp design competition.
This contest aims to encourage youth to design memorial stamps for the 28th annual Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change 2023 (COP 28) in UAE. The Workshop seeks to provide assistance and direction for aspiring designers who are taking part.
Following the successful launch of the first workshop in Ajman on 12th July 2023, scheduled within the calendar of the Ministry of Culture and Youth Summer Camp Program, the event is planned to take place on 17th July 2023 in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on 19th July 2023.
The competition is arranged to educate youngsters on the importance and value of postage stamps and provide guidance on different aspects and criteria of stamp design. Another goal towards designing the commemorative stamp stands as evidence of EPC’s commitment to empowering and engaging youth to make an influence on a global level and showcasing their talents to an international audience.
Criteria for participation
- Participants should be between 15 and 35 years old
- Narrate the story behind the design selection
- Participants can submit up to two design options with an explanation of the difference between them
- Adherence to the UAE’s values
- Refrain from publishing any design related to the competition before announcing the winner
- The winning design shall belong exclusively to Emirates Post Group and cannot be used by any other entity
