Dubai: The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), is taking part in “UAE Innovates 2024,” the UAE Innovation Month. This is consistent with DEWA’s aim to elevate UAE Innovates to the status of the biggest and most prestigious national event globally.
Throughout February, DEWA is hosting a number of events and activities at its headquarters, Distribution Power Division Complex, and Warsan Complex. Additionally, it will have a booth at the UAE Innovates exhibition, which is being hosted by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation (MBRCGI) in the Emirates Towers, Dubai.
Over fifty cutting-edge projects are on display across DEWA’s premises. In order to showcase 14 creative projects, it also hosts the Innovation Week event in the Innovation Tent at its headquarters. DEWA will also host eighteen workshops for staff members and students in schools, both in person and virtually.
This encourages them to take part in foreseeing and building a sustainable future. Additionally, on February 27 at DEWA Academy, DEWA will host the Annual Innovation and the Future Conference, which will feature 12 well-known local and international speakers, creatives, and innovators.
“The UAE Innovates has become an annual opportunity to showcase DEWA’s efforts to achieve the ambitions of the UAE and the goals of its future strategies to make innovation an integral component in the identity and methodology of government work. We are committed to advancing innovation and utilizing the latest disruptive technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
“These include generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and the latest of solar and renewable energy technologies. We aim to develop proactive solutions that keep pace with the accelerating challenges and support our efforts to continue our global excellence and leadership and accelerate the transition to a green economy,” CEO remarked.
“DEWA is a key supporter of Dubai’s progress in leading the future by reshaping the traditional concepts of work mechanisms to suit the rapid global changes,” added Al Tayer.
