Abu Dhabi: The Centre for Legal and Community Awareness (Masouliya), under the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), has started an expanded awareness campaign against domestic violence.
Under the slogan “Violence… the End of Family Stability” the three-month campaign aims to raise public awareness of various preventive measures against domestic violence, highlight its detrimental effects, educate on family rights and obligations, and underscore penalties for offenders.
Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, ADJD Undersecretary, emphasized the vital role of the Centre in protecting society through preventive measures.
This includes increasing legal and community awareness to promote proper behavior and uphold rights guaranteed by the law, aligning with directives of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of ADJD.
In order to achieve strategic and national goals, the Center is using contemporary technology tools to distribute targeted awareness messages throughout social media and various venues. In order to protect family and society rights, the intention is to deter crime and wrongdoing.
Counselor Dr. Muhammad Rashid Al Dhanhani, Director of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Legal and Community Awareness, highlighted the campaign’s focus on maintaining family values. A strong family structure, he noted, is essential for societal and educational development, fostering self-confidence, respect, and appreciation among its members.
Dr. Al-Dhanhani stated that the program’s goal is to educate all members of the community about the value of encouraging family dialogue and fostering a culture of respect among family members in order to preserve the safety and entity of the family.
