Dubai: The UAE will host the Young Global Leaders Annual Summit as part of the strategic partnership between the UAE government and the World Economic Forum. It is scheduled to take place from October 19–21, 2023.
500 members of the Forum of Young Global Leaders, as well as senior officials and leading experts from government, industry, and academia, are anticipated to participate in the summit.
The summit intends to connect young leaders to support them in reaching their full potential, shaping decision-making, and driving positive change in their communities.
The summit will launch with a plenary session with the participation of Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President, and Chief Executive Officer of the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA), a member of the Young Global Leaders community, and Mr. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, a member of the Young Global Leaders community.
In addition, in attendance are Ms. Elham Al Qasim, MAF’s CEO of Strategy and Technology, and a member of the Young Global Leaders, along with LG Sonic CEO Mr. Yousef Yousef, who is also a member of the Young Global Leaders.
The session will be moderated by Mr. Olivier M. Schwab, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum, and attended by UAE government officials.
Young leaders from around the world will actively engage in a series of discussions, lead insightful panel sessions, and facilitate interactive workshops.
These events will delve into critical topics such as the future of education, society, the economy, health, the environment, and sustainability. These sessions will primarily center on the involvement of young leaders in these vital areas.
