Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) will host the second annual Green Hydrogen Summit on April 16, 2024, at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi as part of the World Future Energy Summit.
The summit’s objectives are to promote the energy transition and quicken the growth of the global green hydrogen economy.
The Green Hydrogen Summit will bring together a range of stakeholders, including legislators, business executives, visionary investors, and trailblazing entrepreneurs, to showcase the steadily increasing potential of green hydrogen to assist economies in achieving net-zero emissions.
The Summit’s topic, “Building the Hydrogen Economy: From Dialogue to Reality,” will give top hydrogen actors from across the globe a forum for in-depth talks on growing the low-carbon hydrogen economy in line with international efforts to reach net zero.
The most recent advancements in the production, conversion, transport, storage, and use of green hydrogen will be discussed in fireside chats, high-level panels, and outcome-focused working sessions. Additionally, the vital role that green hydrogen plays in decarbonizing the world energy system will be discussed.
Participants will talk about the industries that represent the main demand segments for green hydrogen and take a close look at the economies and areas driving the burgeoning green hydrogen industry as major economies aim to decarbonize their end-use sectors.
Discussions at the Green Hydrogen Summit will center on how governments are fostering advancements in investment and creating legislative frameworks to support the growth of domestic hydrogen economies and the international exchange of green hydrogen.
Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, said, “Masdar is working to accelerate the journey to net zero and triple global renewable capacity as part of the historic UAE Consensus reached at COP28. Green hydrogen is key to a sustainable energy transition and a vital component of global decarbonization efforts. That’s why it is important that we continue to focus on developing the whole green hydrogen value chain, establishing clear frameworks for cooperation, sharing best practices and aligning regulations to accelerate the transition to a sustainable hydrogen economy.”
