Dubai: The advanced aerial mobility (AAM) market is poised for significant growth, with estimates predicting its value to reach $16.81 billion in 2025 and $110.02 billion in 2035, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21.7 percent. This rapid expansion is being driven by innovative air freight and passenger transport solutions, as well as new regulations, resources, and infrastructure.
Dubai is taking a leading role in AAM and urban air mobility (UAM) innovation and infrastructure development. The upcoming edition of the Dubai Airshow, scheduled for November 13-17, 2023, will feature a dedicated pavilion for AAM, where both regional and global players can explore future flight technologies that will revolutionize travel.
Earlier this year, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced plans to introduce air taxis in Dubai within three years. The development of vertiports, which will serve as part of the air mobility infrastructure network, is also underway. Moreover, the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) are working together to establish the world’s first AAM integrator world center in Dubai, with the certification process for the world’s first vertiport underway.

Dubai’s commitment to AAM is evident in its hosting of the Dubai Airshow, the leading aerospace event in the world. The 18th edition of the show will bring together industry players and thought leaders to showcase the latest innovations, exchange insights, and discuss future trends. The event will serve as a platform to highlight the potential and growth opportunities in the AAM sector.
The Dubai Airshow 2023 will introduce a new AAM pavilion where exhibitors will showcase various aerial transport solutions, including drones, UAVs, UAMs, and eVTOLs (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft). Additionally, there will be an eVTOL flying display to demonstrate the capabilities of these advanced transport methods.
The event will also feature the Advanced Aerial Mobility conference, which will gather industry thought leaders and experts to discuss the latest technologies, regulations, and infrastructure required to integrate AAM into daily life. Overall, Dubai’s focus on AAM and its pioneering status in the industry positions it as a key player in shaping the future of air transportation.
