Abu Dhabi: ADNOC Group, in partnership with the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC) through its Nafis program, has announced its commitment to create 5,000 additional private sector jobs for UAE Nationals in its supply chain by 2027. This collaboration aims to empower Emirati talents to play key roles in the sustainable development of the industrial sector and meet the demand for highly-skilled professionals.
The announcement was made at the Make it the Emirates Forum held in Abu Dhabi, where ADNOC and ETCC signed the agreement. Through various programs and incentives, the partnership will equip UAE Nationals with the necessary skills and competitiveness to excel in their careers and secure employment opportunities in ADNOC’s supply chain and the wider private sector.
This collaboration builds upon the success of ADNOC’s In-Country Value (ICV) program, which has already generated 5,000 jobs for UAE Nationals in the private sector since its launch in 2018. ADNOC remains committed to working closely with its suppliers and partners to nurture local talent and create opportunities for their growth. Over the past year, the company has organized six private sector career weeks to connect local talent with employment opportunities within its registered partners and suppliers.

Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, stated that, “Nurturing and empowering talent is a top priority for ADNOC and we are very pleased to once again partner with Nafis to create an additional 5,000 skilled jobs for UAE Nationals in advanced sectors such as nanotechnology, manufacturing and machine learning. Today, thousands of UAE Nationals are playing key roles across ADNOC’s supply chain and helping to ensure we remain a reliable supplier of lower-carbon energy to the world. As we decarbonise and future-proof our business, ADNOC will continue to empower local talent to build successful careers and contribute to the UAE’s economic development and prosperity.”
During the Make it in the Emirates Forum, a panel session titled “Emirati Empowerment in the Private Sector” took place. The session featured esteemed speakers, including Mr. Omar Ahmed Suwaina Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), and Mr. Yaser Saeed Almazrouei, ADNOC Executive Director, People, Commercial & Corporate Support Directorate. The panel discussed how the UAE is empowering local talent and emphasized the potential for UAE Nationals to capitalize on opportunities within the private sector.
The Make It in the Emirates Forum, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), and ADNOC, gathered more than 800 young UAE Nationals, as well as representatives from ADNOC’s contractors and companies in the private sector. The forum provided a platform for industrial companies to explore local manufacturing and investment opportunities in the UAE.
Through the partnership with ETCC and the Nafis program, ADNOC is furthering its commitment to promoting Emirati talent and contributing to the growth of the private sector. By creating additional job opportunities and supporting the development of highly skilled professionals, ADNOC is playing a vital role in driving the sustainable development and economic diversification of the UAE.
