Abu Dhabi: The Higher Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival has unveiled its New Year’s special programs. The Sheikh Zayed Festival is being held at Abu Dhabi’s Al Wathba showgrounds.
The program line-up includes events, shows, folkloric performances, and international art shows. The Committee arranged to celebrate the season and New Year’s Eve in a cultural and entertaining setting that will attract millions of visitors, residents, and tourists from around the world.
The biggest and most spectacular fireworks show, which will last over 60 minutes and is expected to break four Guinness World Records in terms of quantity, duration, and intricate design, will be part of the festivities.
In addition, there will be a drone show that breaks previous records in the area by employing over 5,000 drones to hover over Al Wathba skies in intricate patterns.
The New Year’s extravaganza will also include a huge laser show in addition to special presentations by the Emirates Fountain, Glowing Towers Garden and the various pavilions of the Festival, along with a number of cultural and civilizational performances from around the world.
The Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival allocated giant screens outside the Festival square to broadcast events, activities, and performances of the celebration due to the expected high turnout for the Festival to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
The Sheikh Zayed Festival welcomes visitors daily until March 9, 2024. The timings are from 16:00 to midnight on weekdays and until 01:00 on weekends and public holidays. This offers the chance to enjoy joyful and memorable times with family and friends in the Festival’s outdoor setting. There are numerous events, activities, and competitions suitable for all age groups.
