Sharjah: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) branch in North Al Batinah Governorate, held a discussion on enhancing cooperation in the investment field and developing mechanisms for promoting the joint efforts aimed at supporting the business community in Sharjah and the Sultanate of Oman.
The two parties looked into promising opportunities across all industries, with an emphasis on helping new businesses get off the ground and taking advantage of the tourism and business potential that SCCI and OCCI enjoy.
Saeed bin Ali Al Abri, the chairman of the OCCI branch in the North Batinah Governorate, and Waleed Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, the second vice chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, discussed this during a meeting that took place in the chamber.
Representatives from the OCCI branch in the North Batinah Governorate, Ali Abdullah Al Jari, Director of the Sharjah Export Development Center, Jamal Saeed Buzangal, Director of the Media Department at SCCI, and Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for the Support Services Sector at SCCI, were present at the meeting.
The Omani delegation extended an invitation to the Sharjah private sector to participate in the Suhar Investment Forum 2024, which is scheduled to take place in the North Batinah Governorate on February 26 and 27, during the meeting.
They also looked at ways to improve Sharjah and the Omani governorate’s cooperative efforts in arranging business events and sending trade delegations back and forth.
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed its willingness to teach courses for Omani university students in economic and administrative specializations during a discussion between SCCI and OCCI regarding cooperation in training and qualification programs.
