Abu Dhabi: Dr. Khalifa Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of the Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities (MBZUH), has stated that the university has entered a new phase of growth and development.
MBZUH has attracted students from 30 different countries around the world who have pursued bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees across a wide range of academic programs at the university.
The growing number of foreign students registered at the university reflects the continuing growth of the university, with distinguished academic programs in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Arabic Language and literature, as well as Islamic Studies.
There were 204 international students studying at the university during the academic year 2022-2023. This represents 17.33 percent of the 1,177 students registered at the university across various academic programs.
“We have developed our programs in a way that will inspire young people to pursue humanities studies, which are no less important today than studying other natural sciences,” the Chancellor added.
According to Dr. Al Dhaheri, the university is offering 100 scholarships annually to distinguished international students to enable students from foreign countries to benefit from its high academic standards and exceptional quality of research opportunities.
Since its establishment, the university has supported the advancement of higher education standards in the UAE and the rest of the region as well as contributed to the development of academic and scientific research in this part of the world.
