Abu Dhabi: Khaled Al Ghaith, Secretary-General of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF), has commemorated the International Day of Human Fraternity by recognizing it as a beacon, guiding the world towards fostering understanding, compassion, and unity among the diverse tapestry of humanity.
Celebrating the day Al Gaith stated that, “Today, as we gather to commemorate the International World Day of Human Fraternity, we are reminded of the essential values that bind us together as a global community. This day serves as a beacon, guiding us towards fostering understanding, compassion, and unity among the diverse tapestry of humanity.”
The Secretary-General highlighted the human fraternity that it is a call to recognize the shared humanity that unites all, as it goes beyond borders, languages, and cultural differences. In addition, Al Ghaith stressed that “In a world that often faces challenges and conflicts, the importance of promoting dialogue and inclusivity cannot be overstated. This day serves as a powerful reminder that our collective well-being depends on acknowledging and celebrating our shared values.”
The General emphasized the significance of human fraternity’s commitment to design transformative activities that promote inclusivity and understanding like, workshops, cultural exchanges, and educational initiatives.
These activities are expected to play a pivotal role in breaking down barriers and fostering a sense of kinship among individuals from diverse backgrounds and can build bridges of empathy and compassion, transcending borders and contributing to the building of a more peaceful and tolerant global society.
Al Ghaith also urged to embrace the shared responsibility to create a world where every individual is respected, valued, and understood. By championing the principles of human fraternity, Al Ghaith added that, “We embark on a journey towards a more harmonious and interconnected world, where the richness of diversity is celebrated, and the ties of brotherhood and sisterhood are strengthened.”
The International Day of Human Fraternity was established by a resolution passed by the UN General Assembly on December 21, 2020, by which 4th February is designated to celebrate the day.
