Dubai: DP World Foundation (DPWF) and the Dubai Charity Association will provide 12,000 Iftar dinners every day to employees in the JAFZA community during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
This program to promote peace among many cultures and religions in the UAE has been started by DPWF, the charitable arm of DP World, in a cooperative effort that reflects the principles of tolerance and compassion connected with Ramadan.
DP World and Dubai Charity Association senior management spoke with volunteers and members of the community in one of the three Iftar tents in Jafza. 360,000 meals will be provided by the initiative throughout Ramadan.
The delegation included Nasser Abdulla, Vice Chairman of the DP World Foundation; Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC; Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Suwaidi, CEO of Dubai Charity Association; Nabil Qayed, DP World Foundation, Board Member and Executive Vice President of Corporate Support at DP World GCC; Latifa Al Qemzi, Director-General of DP World Foundation; Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer of Parks and Zones at DP World GCC, and several senior officials.
The project during Holy Month is a reflection of the fundamental ideals of coexistence in Emirati culture. Its intimate and supportive atmosphere is why this month was chosen for the debut. This highlights the distinct social fabric of the United Arab Emirates, which is distinguished by its cultural variety. stated Nasser Abdulla.
