Dubai: The UAE Council for Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain has launched the UAE Artificial Intelligence Award intending to promote the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies within federal and local government entities.
The UAE government is proactively embracing digital transformation, according to Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications.
The ministry is committed to utilizing the potential of artificial intelligence solutions to empower individuals and communities while promoting their adoption to guarantee real benefits from these advancements.
Al Olama highlighted that the UAE government is working continuously to expand the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence technologies. Through a range of initiatives, the government aims to proactively anticipate the future of artificial intelligence, bolster the nation’s competitiveness, and ensure its leadership across diverse sectors.
The UAE Government’s Chief of Government Services, Mohamed Bin Taliah, emphasized the importance of these strategic initiatives that aim to improve the use of artificial intelligence in government services.
The Service Excellence, Decision Making, Operational Efficiency, and Emirati AI Solutions categories are among the award categories. Evaluation criteria will include innovation level, maturity level, conformity with AI ethics, scalability and replication, and impact level.
Through creative applications of technology and artificial intelligence, the categories seek to deliver high-quality, efficient, and easily accessible services. They also seek to improve decision-making processes and boost productivity by leveraging AI approaches for data-driven decision-making.
To strengthen the UAE’s standing as a leader in artificial intelligence globally, the categories also seek to lower operating costs, enhance service delivery, streamline procedures, and guarantee the growth of AI solutions in the country.
Entities can register and participate in one or more categories through the UAE Artificial Intelligence Award website.
