Abu Dhabi: Phase one of the Sanadkom initiative, which aims to streamline government processes for the families of deceased UAE nationals, including the release of death notifications for the purpose of disbursing retirement pensions to beneficiaries, has been launched by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH).
The initiative comes as part of the Abu Dhabi Programme for Effortless Customer Experience. Sanadkom wants to make it easier for families of the deceased to obtain government services, ease the grieving process for them, and provide them with support after an Emirati family member passes away.
A member of the joint government support team will be designated as part of the initiative to offer phone support and assistance to grieving families on an individual basis, guaranteeing that all services are provided without requiring in-person visits to any government office.
In order to complete all required death-related transactions, including getting the death certificate, setting up the deceased’s funeral, and distributing retirement pension benefits to the beneficiaries on behalf of the insured or the deceased, this will give families all the support and assistance they need.
Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), said that, “Under the directives of our wise leadership, we are committed to enhancing the customer experience and delivering exceptional government services to members of our community. Today marks a significant milestone where seven governmental entities join forces to launch the first phase of the Sanadkom initiative. This initiative aims to create an integrated service for bereaved families, enabling its users to efficiently complete all necessary government procedures.”
The initiative digitally unifies the services of seven governmental entities in the emirate including the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), Abu Dhabi Pension Fund (ADPF), Abu Dhabi Health Services Company – SEHA, Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) and Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC).
