Dubai: The Dubai World Trade Center will host the 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from October 1st to October 3rd, 2024, which is being organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, Founder and Chairman of WETEX, said that as one of the largest specialised exhibitions in the world, WETEX supports the UAE and Dubai’s efforts to mobilise international efforts aimed at accelerating the energy transition and achieving net-zero, especially in the UAE’s Year of Sustainability.
Al Tayer continued by saying that the show offers a global forum for learning about the newest inventions, technologies, and solutions from around the globe in order to address present and future problems and guarantee a more promising and sustainable future for all.
The exhibition is now a crucial pillar supporting the accomplishments of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, which aim to provide 100 percent of Dubai’s total power production capacity from clean energy sources by 2050. This is due to the exhibition’s persistent support from the wise leadership.
WETEX is also gaining more and more support from sponsors, partners, and stakeholders who see it as a great annual chance to network, close deals, form alliances, and research investment prospects in local and regional markets.
About 2,600 businesses from 62 countries participated at the 25th WETEX 2023, while 76 domestic and foreign businesses and organizations served as sponsors. Showcasing 24 international pavilions from 16 different countries, it occupied 78,000 square meters.
