Abu Dhabi: The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation (ALECSO) has organised a cultural workshop on youth empowerment in Moroni, Comoros. The event’s opening ceremony witnessed the participation of distinguished officials from Comoros and ALECSO, aligning with ALECSO’s Cultural Ambassadorship Program, which seeks to enhance the skills and abilities of young talents across Arab nations.
Addressing the gathering via a virtual platform, Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, the Director General of ALECSO, expressed his gratitude to Sheikha Alyazia bint Nahyan Al Nahyan, the ALECSO’s Ambassador of Culture, for her invaluable contributions to the program. This esteemed recognition underlines the leading role of the UAE, showcasing its commitment to advancing joint Arab cultural initiatives and supporting peace, and sustainable development, both nationally and on a global scale.
Dr. Ould Amar further emphasized that the cultural and media activities launched during this event mark the third occasion of the ALECSO’s Ambassador for Arab Culture program. These initiatives aim to introduce ALECSO and its wide-ranging activities to Comoros, as the country holds full membership in the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation.
With the launch of these cultural and media activities, ALECSO seeks to build bridges of cultural exchange and mutual understanding among Arab nations. By fostering cultural awareness and collaboration, the organization aspires to create a united front in addressing shared challenges, promoting peace, and driving sustainable development across the region and beyond.
