Abu Dhabi: Under the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has given the green light for the initial distribution of housing and benefits to Abu Dhabi citizens in 2024.
1,502 residents of the emirate have received these incentives, which have a combined worth of AED 2.18 billion ($594.02 million).
The housing benefits package, which benefits 1,407 persons and has a value of around AED 2.082 billion ($566.46 million), consists of housing loans, ready-built homes, and residential land grants. Furthermore, AED98 million ($26.67 million) in housing loan payments have been waived for elderly people, low-income pensioners, and the relatives of residents who have passed away. Ninety-five residents of the emirate have directly profited from this exemption.
HE Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, remarked that, “The distribution of this year’s first housing benefits package highlights our wise leadership’s continued dedication to meeting the needs of our citizens and addressing their housing demands. This initiative strives to improve the welfare of our citizens and their families, promote stability, and nurture familial and social cohesion within the emirate, all while advancing its comprehensive development.”
“We express our sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, for their directives to disburse the housing benefits package. This further reiterates our unwavering commitment to enhancing the housing sector for citizens in the emirate, in line with the vision of our leadership and their aspirations to enhance the quality of life for the people of our nation.”
The leadership’s commitment to guaranteeing the welfare of Emirati families is demonstrated by the timing of this year’s first housing benefits package distribution with the approaching Eid Al Fitr.
By offering suitable housing that satisfies their requirements, improves their welfare, and upholds their stability and general quality of life, this program hopes to foster the ongoing, all-encompassing growth of the emirate of Abu Dhabi. With the addition of this package, the total amount of housing benefits distributed since the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority’s founding has exceeded AED 149 billion ($40.63 billion).
