Dubai: The fifth edition of the AccessAbilities Expo has begun at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). It is the largest event for people of determination in the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa.
Sheikh Ahmed in Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, has officially opened the event. 250 international exhibitors, brands, and rehabilitation centers from more than 50 countries are taking part in the Expo.
The event is anticipated to draw 12,000 people of determination from 22 countries in the Middle East. This three-day event showcases an extensive range of about 4,500 assistive technologies designed to mitigate the diverse challenges faced by people of determination.
During his tour of the exhibition, Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum briefed on the latest assistive technologies and initiatives that contribute to enhancing the quality of life for more than 50 million people of determination in the Middle East.
The chairman mentioned that the AccessAbilities Expo is a special global event where individuals with disabilities come together to connect, share their stories, and discuss ways to create a more inclusive society. Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum also emphasized that the Expo’s goals align with Dubai’s vision of becoming an inclusive city and a top tourist spot.
