Dubai: The inauguration of a new Lulu Hypermarket at the Dubai Outlet Mall was celebrated on Friday, marking the group’s 25th outlet in the city and its 296th worldwide. Yusuff Ali MA, Chairman of Lulu Group, shared the ambitious goal of expanding the group’s global footprint to 300 outlets within the next year.
Yusuff Ali emphasized the strong demand in the UAE and GCC region, noting that while inflation concerns have diminished, shipping remains a challenge. However, he is optimistic as governments worldwide are seeking solutions to support retailers.
The opening ceremony was attended by Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, Naser Khammas Al Yammahi, Chairman of Dubai Outlet Mall, among other dignitaries. The new store, sprawling over 97,000 square feet, introduces the Middle East’s first ‘Outlet concept’ hypermarket, establishing itself as a leading retail destination in Dubai.
Featuring a wide selection of products sourced both locally and internationally, the hypermarket caters to diverse customer needs across various categories. From groceries, fresh produce, meats, and fish to a bakery, dairy products, and an assortment of hot food stations featuring global cuisines, the store promises a comprehensive shopping experience. Additionally, customers can find a variety of electronics, IT products, home appliances, and more, further enhancing its appeal.
Yusuff Ali expressed his enthusiasm for the new venture, anticipating a daily footfall between 40,000 to 50,000 people. He emphasized the hypermarket’s commitment to providing high-quality products at affordable prices, catering to the growing demand for internationally sourced items. Yusuff Ali also reaffirmed the group’s dedication to supporting the UAE’s sustainable development goals and its strategy for further expansion under the country’s visionary leadership, aiming to contribute to the nation’s continuous progress.
