Dubai: Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA) has announced the release of the TC22/TC27, a mobile computer designed to cater to organizations that previously had to rely on consumer-grade or lower quality devices. This new device provides advanced features and functionality, allowing businesses to enhance efficiency and productivity.
The TC22/TC27 is particularly suited for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) operating in various sectors such as retail, sports and entertainment, transit and logistics, utilities, and field services. Despite limited budgets, these businesses require capabilities like advanced range scanning, hybrid point of sale (POS) solutions, and enterprise-grade manageability without complex IT requirements. It also offers support for Apple VAS and Google Smart Tap, making it convenient for hospitality and entertainment businesses to validate tickets, membership cards, loyalty cards, and boarding passes stored in mobile wallets.
One of the key features of the TC22/TC27 is its integrated scan engine, which can handle both 1D and 2D barcodes with exceptional speed and accuracy. It also includes a 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, enabling high-quality video calls and photo capture for tasks such as confirming deliveries.
The device is built to withstand challenging environments, with temperature resistance from -10C to +50C, drop and tumble durability, and IP68 sealing for protection against dust and water. Its 6″ FHD display offers enhanced visibility, while its slim and lightweight design ensures comfort and portability.
Connectivity options are also advanced, with Wi-Fi 6E, 5G, and CBRS support, enabling businesses to leverage the latest communication infrastructure. The TC22/TC27 is equipped with a Qualcomm Hex-Core 2.1GHz processor and high memory configurations to handle demanding tasks effectively.
Zebra provides up to three years of product availability and support for the TC22/TC27, along with technical support from Zebra Services. The device comes with Zebra Mobility DNA tools for device management and security, and it is upgradable to Mobility DNA Enterprise. Additional features, such as Tap to Pay, Device Tracker for loss prevention and recovery, Workstation Connect, and RFID capability with the RFD40 UHF RFID Sled, offer added flexibility to meet evolving business needs.
