Netherlands: A high-level UAE delegation has participated in the 26th World Energy Congress held in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
More than 7,000 international energy stakeholders, including 200 C-suite speakers and 70 ministers, attended the congress, which was co-hosted by the World Energy Council and the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. Its purpose was to facilitate high-level government-to-government dialogue that could advance the global energy transition agenda.
The high-level group included members from the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, Etihad Water and Electricity, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and BEEAH Group in addition to Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.
The UAE National Committee for the World Energy Council received the “Driving Impact and Amplification” award on the event’s fringes in appreciation of its outstanding work and beneficial influence on the energy environment.
In order to identify potential areas of collaboration, find out about cutting-edge research and technology, and encourage investment in sustainable energy, Al Olama had several one-on-one meetings with professionals in the energy business. He also took a look at ADNOC’s World Energy Congress booth.
Having influenced the global energy agenda for a century, the World Energy Congress is the oldest energy event in the world. It brings together the international energy community to secure a sustainable energy supply and to have an impact on the global and regional levels.
