Abu Dhabi: Trends Research and Advisory hosted a symposium during its European research tour in France focusing on “Gulf-European relations: potential for collaboration and partnership.”
Numerous luminaries from France and the Arab world attended the event, which was hosted at the Napoleon Hotel in Paris. The participants talked about political, economic, and cultural cooperation, among other elements of relations between France and the Gulf Arab countries.
The importance of GCC-French relations and the need to expand and improve them in several areas were emphasized throughout the symposium. The authors offered suggestions on how to improve trade and economic cooperation while fostering the sharing of technological know-how and proficiency in the fields of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technology.
They demanded that cultural exchanges and conversations between Arab and European civilizations be encouraged and that the UAE’s links with Europe be strengthened to serve as an example for successful international collaborations.
In his remarks, Trends Research and Advisory CEO Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali mentioned the close bond that exists between France and the Gulf States. He characterized these connections as historical and multifaceted. According to Dr. Al-Ali, there have been notable developments in these relationships on several fronts in recent years.
The closeness of the bilateral links between the UAE and France was emphasized by Senator Nathalie Goulet, a member of the French Senate, who called them “family bonds.”
Dr. Hamad Al-Kaabi, CEO of Aletihad News Centre, Editor-in-Chief of Aletihad Newspaper, focused on the cultural aspects of Gulf-European relations. He explained that Europeans and Arabs have a long and rich history of cultural, economic, commercial and political exchanges. He referred to the depth of historical relations between the European Union and the League of Arab States, describing it as “a strategic partnership for a promising future of rich cultural exchanges.”
