Sharjah: The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) is inviting academics, researchers, and writers in the field of government communication and public influence to participate in the tenth edition of the Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA).
The award aims to recognize outstanding work, research, and publications in communication sciences that make use of various traditional and modern communication tools and their impact on the public.
One of the categories in the 10th edition of the SGCA is “Best Applied Scientific Research in Government Communication,” which acknowledges researchers, educational institutions, and academic government entities that address the challenges of government communication and provide practical solutions and methodologies.
The award has two subcategories, honouring both individual or group research and research conducted by government, semi-government, or private entities. These categories intent to have a positive impact on institutional and government communication while also considering the theoretical and academic aspects that support successful communication processes.
Recognizing the important role of research in the advancement of public communication, the SGCA has introduced the global category of “Best Writer or Author in Government Communication Sciences.” This category hounors authors who offer fresh perspectives and valuable knowledge, greatly influencing government communication and its implementation. Publications accredited by academic institutions with significant circulation are given preference for this award.
The SGMB invites all entities and individuals to submit their applications for the SGCA award by 15th August 2023. Those who are interested should complete an online submission on the official website.
