Abu Dhabi: Reem Hospital has launched the Reem Neuroscience Centre, offering comprehensive mental health care through outpatient clinics and an inpatient psychiatric department.
Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), visited the hospital’s facilities and was briefed on the new expansions. The Chairman was accompanied by Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of DoH, Eng. Zaid Al Siksek, Chairman of Reem Hospital and Reem Neuroscience Centre, along with several executive directors from the Department and an elite group of specialized doctors from the hospital.
The Reem Neuroscience Centre consists of a team of highly qualified psychiatrists and clinical psychologists. The Centre, with 25 dedicated treatment rooms, serves over 6,000 monthly patients, offering various services including psychiatry, psychotherapy, child psychiatry, and addiction treatment. Additionally, the Centre will offer a specialized laboratory for diagnosing attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
The Reem Neuroscience Centre is opening alongside the hospital’s 25 new psychiatric beds expansion project, with plans for future expansion to meet the increasing demand for specialized mental health services.
Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of DoH said: “We commend Reem Hospital’s efforts in alignment with DoH’s commitment to safeguard the mental and physical wellbeing of all members of the community, ensuring the quality of healthcare services provided to them.

The Centre provides specialized beds for conditions like eating disorders, mood disorders, and psychosis, as well as advanced treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and child psychiatry.
