Abu Dhabi: The UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has chaired the annual meeting of the ADNOC Board of Directors at its headquarters.
Underlined the UAE’s unwavering commitment to comprehensive, sustainable, and integrated economic and social development plans.
The President emphasized the country’s commitment to strengthening its capacities and knowledge, broadening them in the energy sector, viewing it as the cornerstone of plans and initiatives for development, all the while emphasizing sustainability and emission reduction.
The meeting took place at ADNOC Headquarters, where His Highness gave ADNOC instructions to expand its diversified portfolio and supply safe, dependable, and responsible energy to help facilitate the implementation of a fair, lawful, and balanced global energy transition.
The President noted that ADNOC is tripling its renewable energy capacity through its ownership of Masdar as it works to transform, decarbonize, and future-proof its business. It is also making significant progress toward its interim targets of achieving near-zero methane emissions by 2030 and a 25 percent reduction in greenhouse gas intensity.
Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan said that this continued focus underlines the UAE’s long-term commitment to supporting global energy security and enabling a more sustainable future.
The President noted the crucial role ADNOC employees continue to play in driving its success and thanked them for their hard work, dedication, and commitment. Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan stressed that people are the nation’s greatest asset, and the UAE leadership will continue to prioritize human capital development.
During the meeting, the board analyzed ADNOC’s projects, programs, and achievements. The board praised the IOC for prioritizing UAE talent development and upskilling its workforce in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and digitalization.
