Abu Dhabi: Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) and United Al-Saqer Group, a UAE-based business conglomerate, have signed a 10-year research endowment agreement to advance education, knowledge, and innovation in digital health.
The United Al-Saqer Group’s funds will be used to establish and sustain health research projects at MBZUAI under the name of Sheikh Mohamed bin Butti Al Hamed.
MBZUAI has made healthcare a primary area of focus, and United Al-Saqer Group is firmly committed to fostering the growth and advancement of the industry.
“Through this research endowment agreement, United Al-Saqer Group and MBZUAI will ensure that the UAE remains at the cutting edge of AI innovation across the healthcare ecosystem,” Sheikh Al Hamed added.
Numerous research projects are already carrying out numerous research projects to utilize AI to address issues such as the transmission of malaria, the early detection of cardiac and fetal abnormalities, and remote patient monitoring.
MBZUAI President Professor Eric Xing observed that this strategic research endowment aligns with MBZUAI’s commitment to advancing education, research, and innovation. It will prove instrumental in shaping the future of AI in healthcare in the UAE and beyond, as per the Professor.
