Dubai: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has invited applications from Emiratis to become the country’s Minister of Youth.
The Prime Minister shared a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, starting with “to our young men and women in the UAE.” It gained a tremendous response within hours of posting.
“We want the person to be knowledgeable about the UAE, be brave and strong in representing his country, and passionate about serving the homeland,” Sheikh Mohammed shared.
One of the top priorities for the UAE government is fostering the development of future leaders. The country’s leaders frequently emphasize the importance of the youth, as per the statement.
The Prime Minister has invited individuals possessing competence, capability, and honesty to express their interest in the Minister of Youth position by writing to the Council of Ministers.
In 2016, Ms. Shamma Al Mazrui was appointed as the Minister of State for Youth Affairs at the age of 22, becoming the world’s youngest minister, following a similar call to universities in the country.
According to the annual Asda’a BCW Arab Youth Survey, the UAE’s strong youth policy has consistently made it the top choice for Arab youngsters to live in for 12 consecutive years.
