Dubai: Dubai Police and the Economic Security Centre of Dubai (ESCD) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their cooperation in the sharing of information about the fight against financial crimes.
The Executive Director of the Economic Security Center of Dubai, Faisal Selaitin, and Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
Major General Khalil Al Mansouri, an expert in the field, emphasized that this agreement is in line with the directives of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, who has directed the department to strengthen and support the state’s efforts in fighting money laundering and other organized crime.
Al Mansouri added that to ensure cohesive roles and foster effective communication among entities, the Force is committed to strengthening its partnerships with various government entities, semi-governmental organizations, and the private sector. This will ultimately result in the achievement of impactful and efficient outcomes in the fight against various forms of financial crimes.
Under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, the two sides will work together to establish common communication channels that will enable information sharing, monitoring, and surveillance.
It also includes cooperative awareness efforts, improving the work of workers and experts from both parties, holding seminars and training sessions, and implementing other helpful provisions to reach the intended objectives.
