Dubai: The advanced smart systems that Dubai Police has implemented have been praised by HE Maja Popović, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Serbia, for their significant contributions to improving emergency response times, promoting road traffic safety, and bolstering safety and security throughout the Emirate of Dubai.
The Minister also recognized the benefits of these developments for the UAE’s general development and prosperity.
The Serbian Ministry of Justice and its delegation, along with a number of senior officers, were cordially welcomed by Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police.
Popović, the Minister of Justice, was given a tour of the Dubai Police’s premises and facilities during her visit, where she was shown a variety of cutting-edge smart systems and artificial intelligence technology. These developments allow the management of diverse event types, greatly improve emergency response capabilities, and encourage the effective deployment of police patrols throughout the Emirate of Dubai.
The Minister also learned a great deal about the state-of-the-art technologies used in security patrols, like the ability to recognize license plates and identify moving offenses. She also gained knowledge of the technologies used to establish a direct line of communication between the patrols and the General Department of Operations’ Command and Control Center. This communication channel improves overall operational effectiveness and makes it easier to respond quickly to incidents.
The Serbian Minister also reviewed the ‘Ghiath’ Smart Patrol, one of the most technologically advanced security vehicles worldwide that incorporates smart and sophisticated systems powered by artificial intelligence, such as facial recognition, license plate recognition, and tracking wanted vehicle systems.
Minister Popović was also briefed during her visit on the ‘Drone Box’, a platform designed to dispatch unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) across Dubai to reduce emergency response times and aid in crime detection.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police and the Minister of Justice from Serbia exchanged commemorative shields as a parting gift and show of respect for one another at the conclusion of the visit. In the conversation, she conveyed her hopes for the UAE’s continuous development and prosperity and expressed her enthusiasm for the state-of-the-art technologies used by Dubai Police to preserve public order and provide safety and security.
