Dubai: The Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has conducted a meeting with the most prominent global football academies in Dubai. It aimed to boost the scouting of sports talents in the emirate.
The meeting discussed the Sport Talents Scouting Policy, a key component of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). Its goal is to identify and bring in talent across different important sectors, fostering an environment that helps place the UAE among the world’s leading countries in global talent competitiveness.
The meeting was held at DSC’s headquarters. It was attended by Mr. Saeed Hareb, the DSC Secretary-General, along with officials from DSC and international academies based in Dubai, such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan, Ajax, Paris Saint-Germain, Greek Olympiacos, and LaLiga.

Mr. Saeed Hareb emphasized how crucial these academies are in helping DSC achieve its goals of nurturing sports talent and building strong partnerships with Dubai clubs to attract talent and improve the technical skills of their staff.
The talent scouting policy aims to elevate the UAE to a top-10 position in global competitiveness rankings by creating a comprehensive governance framework that attracts skilled athletes. These athletes are expected to contribute to the UAE’s ambitions and efforts to enhance its standing in various sectors.
DSC was established in 2005. The council’s goal is to enhance and advance sports in Dubai, establishing a holistic sports environment that aligns with societal needs, as per the statement.
The council aims to provide young people with opportunities to nurture their sporting and cultural talents, ultimately leading to significant achievements. According to DSC, this vision seeks to position Dubai as a prominent global sports destination.
