Dubai: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received the ‘Excellence through Innovation’ award from Software AG, a global technology company, in recognition of its digital transformation efforts and best practices.
The award was presented to Mr. Marwan bin Haidar, Executive Vice President of Innovation and the Future at DEWA, by Mr. Rami Kichli, Senior Vice President of the Middle East and Turkey at Software AG. Officials from both organizations were present.
Mr. Bin Haidar remarked that, “Under the guidance of the top management, we at DEWA work to innovate and design digital services that focus on the customers and enhance their experience by relying on the latest disruptive technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including generative artificial intelligence.”
“DEWA is the first utility in the world to utilize ChatGPT technology for customer services alongside AI-supported robotic solutions. This saves customers’ time and effort and enhances their satisfaction. By the end of September 2023, adoption of DEWA’s smart services reached 99 percent,” Mr. Mr. Bin Haidar added.
