Abu Dhabi: A collaboration agreement was signed by ZHO and Lotus Holistic Group to launch the first peer-reviewed specialized scientific journal on autism research in the Arab world, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO).
The agreement was signed by Abdulla Abdulalee Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of ZHO, and Amina Al Haidan, CEO of Lotus Holistic Group, in partnership with the Emirates Scholar Research Centre for Studies and Research.
As part of the effort to improve academic research in the UAE, the partnership to start the first peer-reviewed journal on autism marked a major scientific advancement in this field.
The journal, titled The International Journal of Autism Challenges and Solutions, will publish the most recent articles from specialised researchers in the field of autism worldwide and be the first Arabic-English periodical in the Arab world.
The magazine’s inaugural issue will be released concurrently with Autism Challenges and Solutions, the XII International Research and Practice Conference, which will take place in Abu Dhabi from April 27–30, 2024.
The goal of the international, specialized journal on autism research is to provide the best therapeutic approaches and methods for people with autism, with the intention of reducing their difficulties, enabling them to integrate into society, and increasing public awareness.
In addition to addressing the pressing need for a scholarly forum to address contemporary issues and provide research findings to practitioners in specialised centres, the journal clarifies scientific responsibility.
The Secretary-General of ZHO welcomed the collaborative step to issue the scientific journal, considering it a positive development for the autism spectrum community.
