Dubai: Mr. Victor Perez, a French professional golfer, has won in the final round of the 2023 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and holds his maiden Rolex Series title at Yas Links. The Frenchman, who received his trophy from Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, held a thin one-shot lead in the final holes before holing out from a bunker at the average level 17th for a birdie to increase his lead to two.
The Australian Mr. Min Woo Lee and the Swede Mr. Sebastian Söderberg shared second place on 17 under par despite the fact that he struggled at the 18, where a bogey there was enough to secure a one-shot victory.

Mr. Perez started strong on the final day, turning the turn at four under par, then pushed ahead with back-to-back birdies to open the back nine. Mr. Perez entered the final day one stroke back. After dropping a stroke at the 14th, he made up for it with a birdie at the 15th, and when the 30-year-flawless old’s bunker shot struck the bottom of the cup on the 17th, wild celebrations broke out.
With the competition for a spot on Captain Mr. Luke Donald’s team for the biennial match at Marco Simone well and truly underway, that hole-out ultimately sealed his victory as he rose to the top of the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex and second in the Ryder Cup European Points List.
Three-time Major champion Mr. Pádraig Harrington finished fourth on 16 under par after scoring rounds of 64-67 over the weekend.
