Sharjah: Sharjah will host former Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Providence in the USA, Judge Frank Caprio as the keynote speaker at the opening of the 12th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2023). The judge is known for his compassionate rulings and the title of “The Nicest Judge in the World,”
Mr. Caprio will also be honored at the Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA) ceremony, held on the second day of the event.
Organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), this year, IGCF runs under the theme ‘Today’s Resources.. Tomorrow’s Wealth’, from September 13 to 14, 2023, welcomes a formidable lineup of important decision-makers, government officials, intellectuals, as well as development and communication experts from around the world.
The forum offers an international platform geared towards advancing the communication industry at the local and global levels. The 12th edition of the forum will offer a packed itinerary of more than 90 activities, including panel discussions, inspiring speeches, and workshops, in addition to pre-forum activities and diverse programs led by over 250 local and global experts.
Hosting the former Chief Judge at the forum aligns with the IGCF’s commitment to spotlighting individuals who have made a transformative impact on their communities. Judge Caprio’s reputation and global recognition skyrocketed through the power of social media, as videos capturing his courtroom proceedings resonated far and wide.
The IGCF, which has attracted over 50,000 visitors and participants worldwide in its previous editions, will see discussions on resources, wealth, development, and sustainability with local and international government officials, as well as communication and media experts from around the world, to deliberate on innovative mechanisms and solutions that address challenges hindering the socio-economic development process.
The forum will also offer attendees the opportunity to communicate with decision-makers and government communication experts and share new insights into harnessing resources and turning them into wealth in the UAE and the world’s various countries.
